Maybe learn how to use Scanline Sync in RTSS. That's the best you can do, unless you uncap the fps entirely but the tearing / input lag that follows is on you. What to do if you don't have it besides buying a monitor that has it: Nvidia Reflex is new tech made to work in tandem with VRR, and if you think VRR is awful you likely haven't played with it set up properly, or with Nvidia Reflex.
